Monleras Work Camp - 2º turn [Days 3, 4 and 5]

Hello everyone again! Here we are again with the weekend! Friday and Saturday were both working days in the morning. The volunteers' main task is in the building with the oven, where they are finishing the oven and the outside wall. Another small group is also painting the mural in the cultural centre. They have already marked everything and they have just started painting it.

On Friday we spent the afternoon near the lake swimming and having a bath, even with live music. At night we went to an outside place in the village to observe the different stars and constellations up there. On Saturday afternoon we did the photographic gymkhana around the village and at night we could enjoy a folk performance at the theatre by "Gabriel Calvo", a local folk musician from Salamanca

Sunday was the excursion to Salamanca. In the morning we went to "La Alberca", considered as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, and visited "Peña de Francia", where we had lunch. Then in the afternoon we had the main excursion, which was going to Salamanca. There we had a small tour around the city and we could enjoy some ice-creams from "Novelty" and some "tapas" in the city. Nice day out! Stay tuned for more!

Hola a todos de nuevo! Aquí estamos otra vez con el fin de semana. El viernes y el sábado fueron los dos días de trabajo por la mañana. La principal tarea de los voluntarios está en el cernidero con el horno, donde están terminando el horno y el muro exterior. Otro pequeño grupo también está pintando el mural en el centro cultural. Ya han marcado todos los dibujos y acaban de empezar a pintarlo.

El viernes nos pasamos la tarde a orillas del embalse e incluso pudimos disfrutar de música en directo. Por la noche fuimos a un lugar apartado del pueblo para poder observar las diferentes estrellas y constelaciones. El sábado por la tarde hicimos la gymkhana fotográfica por el pueblo y por la noche pudimos disfrutar de una actuación de música folk en el teatro a cargo de "Gabriel Calvo", un músico folk local de Salamanca.

El domingo fue la excursión a Salamanca. Por la mañana fuimos a "La Alberca", considerada como uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España, y visitamos la "Peña de Francia", donde comimos. Luego por la tarde tuvimos la principal excursión, que es ir a Salamanca. Allí hicimos un pequeño tour por la ciudad y pudimos disfrutar de los helados del "Novelty" y de típicas tapas en la ciudad.
